We were very pleased.

I had a lot of trouble with my Samsung and LG refrigerators, but this company was amazing. Kim was very helpful and arranged the appointment quickly. She also contacted LG and got the parts covered by the warranty. I was worried because my fridge broke down right before Christmas and LG was not helpful at all. Kim took care of everything, followed up with me and got my fridge working again for free. This company is awesome. It’s hard to find such service and people these days. John did a great job fixing my fridge and taught me some things I didn’t know.

Honest! Honest! Honest! They are so honest. They dispatched a technician to examine my gas range that was under warranty. When I spoke with their dispatcher, they indicated that there would be a $99 service charge if the diagnostic determined that the issue wasn’t a manufacturer’s defect. They came on time, and the technician (Jon or John) they sent was extremely personable, polite, and thorough. Needless to say, the issue had more to deal with the manufacturer in a gray area that may not be covered by the warranty or by the seller. Rather than charge me the $99, they realized that the issue occurred through no fault of mine. So they refunded the charge. You just don’t find companies that are honest like this anymore. This is more of what you used to find 50+ years ago when people were men and women of their word. Real old school - do the job right and do it honestly. I would recommend them to anybody because of what they did today.

I wanted to say that your appliance tecnician, anthony (didn't give his last name), was especially courteous and diligent while repairing our microwave. Took him one hour and forty six minutes to complete the unusually difficult task, not to mention his travel time etc. I'm a DIY'er but would not try fixing my GE microwave- -what an agglomeration of wires, switches , etc all compacted in a very tight, difficult to get at space.

Your technicians are great. The service is excellent! The only negative is being unable to book a time window in advance. I know that you are trying to manage the techs' time, but as customers, we have jobs and need to manage our time as well. Other service providers are able to schedule time slots.

Lowe’s extended warranty sent them to my home to repair the washer which had a bad drum. I called this company to find out what was going on with the repair as I had not heard anything from them and was only told “you will have to call Lowe’s warranty”. Very poor communication on this company’s part. Lowe’s warranty said that it had been reported that I worked on the washer myself, which is false. So my warranty was denied and I am out $800 for a new washer even though I had a warranty. Keep this in mind if you are looking at hiring them for your repairs. ***This review was edited after speaking with the owner of the company. My only wish was that the communication had been there before it reached this point.***

I recently moved and needed my beloved Speed Queen mechanical washing machine prepared for moving. John Michael was willing to do the job but told me it would cost over $100 and was easy enough anyone could do it. I explained I didn't have the ``plug`` required and he ordered it, had it sent to a location near me for me to pick-up. He also texted me photos of what I needed and told me how to do it. Then he emailed the manual for my washer with directions on what to do, along with instructions to text him if I had any problems. My husband was able to prepare the washing machine for our move and then set it up at our new house. Just as John Michael said, it was easy peasy. So, while John Michael did not perform service on my washing machine, he did provide excellent customer service and saved us money. This is an ethical business with outstanding customer service. I am only sorry that we are no longer in their service area because I would use them for every appliance I own.

I contacted this business to attempt to schedule a diagnostic call for my Samsung refrigerator. I'm not sure if the lady who answered the call was having a bad morning or what but she was not very professional at all. I barely got to explain what was going on before she spouted out that there would be a $500 service call, a $99 diagnostic fee, a $149 something else fee. I tried to inquire about the home warranty I have and was pretty much told they don't work with them because her technician would have to spend 30 minutes on the phone with them and that would just back every single call she had up. I explained that it shouldn't matter how long if I was having to pay them by the hour for labor anyways. She began arguing that it did matter. I told her thank you but I would just contact someone else - to which she hung up. That alone told me they would not be willing to take their time and make sure the job was done correctly but rather rush the job to get to the next. I got nothing but ``quantity over quality`` vibes from this woman. While I understand that Samsung appliances are a pain, that doesn't give you the right to be unkind to a potential customer. Word of mouth goes a long way! And spouting off 3 different figures before you even know the problem does nothing but overwhelm a customer and run them off. I would go buy a brand new refrigerator before letting this company touch mine! **Edit - I did upgrade this review to 3 stars because the owner of this company contacted me to apologize and see what he could do to correct the issue. I did choose to refuse the service but I do highly respect the fact that he did call back and genuinely apologize after reviewing the call recording and my google review.

I recently called John Michael & Asso when my dryer started giving me an error code. The manufacturer (Electrolux) listed them as one of the local authorized repair companies. I’ve used one of the other companies listed in the past, and wasn’t crazy about how long I have had to wait in the past for service. So I called John Michael & Asso, and John answered the phone. He was able to diagnose my probable issue over the phone and gave me a rough estimate. We scheduled service for the next day. Luckily they had the part my dryer needed on hand, and in less than 24 hours from when my dryer started giving me problems, it was repaired! The technician was professional and worked quickly. Representative John S. came to diagnose our washing machine. He provided helpful info by phone prior to the appointment. He was professional in appearance and demeanor, and very knowledgeable. He identified and explained the problem in detail (the need to replace the motor, an expensive repair), and noted the appliance was now 10 years old. The clear choice was to replace the appliance, to which he added some points to consider when shopping for a new one from local retailers. The appointment coordinator, Kim, was also very professional and courteous on the phone. We would definitely use this company again.

He checked the drain in the back of the refrigerator and flushed out, replaced a hose and then did same for inside. Involved process for getting everything pulled out. He was very focused and careful of parts and pieces being removed. There is a warranty on the work done and he reminded me to call if any problems or questions. I was appreciative of that attitude. This was my second dealings with this company. A year earlier they repaired the equally old drier purchased along with this washer. Professional from the initial conversation with the phone representative, to the conscientious and thorough repair man who inspected and diagnosed the issue (roaring and vibrations). The cost is very reasonable.....a little over a hundred dollars plus price of replacement part if they find a problem and have to return or, just under a hundred dollars if you choose not to have the repair because of cost or age of the appliance. NOW, about the washer. I want to first mention that this was the Fourth of July holiday weekend. I wish I knew which repair rep I was communicating with but believe if was the same gentleman as with the drier. Through multiple texts in attempt to have the part ( a control settings knob ) in hand on the initial visit, we discovered because of age, it was no longer available. Saved me time and money. This man made the effort and took his time over a holiday at no cost to me to alleviate a problem. They are now my first and only call with an appliance issue.

Other than the initial mix up with scheduling, this was BY FAR the best service repair business I have ever worked with!

I have used JM and Assoc twice in the last year for 2 different appliances and they are great! On the most recent repair, John S. patiently and laboriously disassembled, cleaned and reassembled the bottom of my dishwasher, including the blade assembly. It was a time-consuming job and he was patient and thorough and good-humored through it all (and did not charge extra). Very skilled-- so many repair services today cannot or will not fix and will just tell you to buy a new part or a new appliance. My dishwasher works like new- amazing!

The pump was bad. The cost of the repair would be close to the cost of a new machine and the current machine was a 2007. The decision was made to replace it. I contacted John Michael & Associates late in the evening and received a response back early the next morning. After talking with the owner, John, he was extremely friendly and thorough; he stated that he would do his very best to come out for my repair the very same day. He called me back within a couple of hours and in turn, we scheduled a technician to come out that afternoon. The technician, John (a different John), called me before arriving and was punctual. Upon his arrival, he was down to earth and very courteous. He went right to work and fixed the problem in no time. He showed me the damaged part and explained to me what he did as well as how to better extend the life of my washer and dryer. I WILL DEFINITELY call them back when I'm in need of repair for any of my appliances. Their company magnet is permanently on my fridge!

Promptness, competence and courtesy are key for me, and I was satisfied on all counts. LG contacted John Michael & Associates to service my washer under warranty for unbalanced error and overfilling with water, and told me to expect a call to schedule. I received a call early the next morning from a service technician, John Spinelli, who impressed me with his thoughtfulness. He apologized that he didn’t call the same day, explaining that LG contacted them at the end of the business day. He had an opening later that morning and asked if that would be convenient. He was right on time, and had a neat appearance and professional manner. This next point is important for me, as an Asian woman. At the door, John asked if he should take off his shoes. He asked a polite, culturally appropriate question and did not assume the answer either way. I don’t expect that from everyone, but it showed that John focuses on the customer’s individual needs. He found that the problem had to do with the way I used the washer, which caused an issue with the water sensor, but he tested every cycle to make sure and showed me how to run the tests on my own. He explained how the washer functions and ways to avoid typical problems. When I told him that I do heavy laundry because of dogs, he gave me tips on washing specific types of items, as well as general advice on routine maintenance. He answered all my questions and said to call the company if I had other questions. Sometimes, service technicians can be too chatty and personal, but John never crossed that line. It’s important to feel comfortable when you allow someone into your home and I did. If John is representative of the usual level of service, this is an outstanding company.

John Michael and Associates repaired my Samsung refrigerator. The freezer had stopped cooling to the desired temperature after 15 months of purchase. I contacted Lowe's Home Improvement and Samsung and was told that it was no longer under warranty. I decide to call someone from the Angie List providers and went with John Michael and Associates. They were very friendly and courteous. The service was outstanding and very professional. The service rep called and set a time that he would arrive, and was on time each time. I turns out that the repair was covered by Samsung, and I got a full refund from John. These guys are great.

John, John, and Andy were all very courteous and knowledgeable. They ended up having to make a total of 4 Trips to my house to resolve this issue. Each time they came out they provided me with a morning call with a time frame for their arrival. By the 3rd call out I requested that they call me 30 minutes in advance of their arrival, which they had no problem doing. They were even kind enough to come out on a Saturday for the final service call. It was a long and tedious repair, but that had nothing to do with the service provided, that all falls to Samsung.

We were put in touch with John Michael and Associates through LG when our LG microwave stopped in the middle of a cycle. JM&A made an appointment that worked with our schedule, and called the day of the appointment to give us a 2-hour window. The technician was very polite, friendly, courteous and professional. He was able to diagnose the problem within a few minutes and repair it. (A wire on the magnetron motor was in the wrong place). A couple of weeks later the microwave developed a new problem: it failed to heat food, though the container and oven itself became hot. An appointment was made, a technician and his trainee came out and quickly diagnosed the problem. (The magnetron was broken--likely due to having operated initially with the wire that was in the wrong place). The magnetron had to be ordered. It came within two days and the technicians came out immediately to install it. They protected our cabinets, counters, and floors, and left everything clean. We were very pleased with the service.

This was the second replacement on parts of a refrigerator that was purchased in March 2013. It is an LG French door. The ice in the ice maker does not always go down the chute and clogs up in the upper chamber. The refrigerator had an error message on the door, and LG was called. John Michael & Associates is their warranty repair group. The people there tried to schedule as soon as possible, but we were told it would be early into the next week. I was concerned that the food in the freezer would thaw and spoil, because the people at LG told me to unplug the frig and then wait an hour and plug in again. The repair personnel made a stop that day to check on the frig. It was still working, but receiving the error message, and he told me I didn't have to unplug the frig it would be alright until they could get the parts and install them. The parts were backordered by LG as this was apparently an issue with other refrigerators. When the part came in they called and scheduled within two days. They came out and replaced the fan, and another part in the freezer, along with the computer board. They were very quick, friendly, efficient, and knew all about the problem and they serviced several different of types of appliances. They answered any questions that I had with no reluctance. I was very impressed. The refrigerator had to be repaired again in January, it had originally been repaired in November. Apparently they had upgraded the computer board again because they were still having issues with the ice maker. John Michael & Associates came out again. They asked what the error message was and ordered the part before coming out. Again the part was on backorder from LG. When it came in they came out within two days and took care of it. If there are other issues with any of our other appliances I would call John Michael & Associates. I am pleased with service.

Every step of the process/repair went just exactly like the provider explained it would during our initial phone call. Repair was done promptly, and provider was extremely knowledgeable, professional, polite and timely. John was able to give me an exact price quote before coming out, and that quote did not change after the service was completed. I will definitely call on John Michael & Associates for our next appliance repair need.

We called this morning and had the repair person (John) standing in our house ready to fix it at 10:30 am. Such quick and VERY efficient service. The two technicians were very nice and professional!! I would recommend them over and over!! And they will definitely be the FIRST place we call when we have problem with another appliance.

Simple & easy

Our LG side-by-side had an ice/water dispenser which did not stop when pressure was released as it should. It had been serviced previously by The Geek Squad for a related problem (it was purchased from Best Buy) but they had a two-week lead time for service and we wanted to be able to get ice and water without flooding the kitchen. I called LG for a list of authorized technicians and John Michael & Associates Appliance Repair was on the list, had a good Angie's List review, and was able to send someone out the next day. The technician was polite and thorough in diagnosing the problem. A part was needed which had to be ordered, so we had to wait a bit for that and a miscommunication slowed that process, but one phone call corrected that problem and less than a week later the part arrived, was replaced, and we are happy. This company was great to do business with.
